2.  How do you select the movies for showing at the drive-in?  How can I request a movie?

Judy spends most of the day Monday (Tuesday, when Monday is a holiday) negotiating the best deal with the Hollywood studios.  She considers what is in the top ten, what people have requested, and what movie combinations give the most variety to satisfy everyone. If you have a movie request, let us know by clicking here.

3. Can I bring my own food or drinks to the drive-in?

Yes, we do allow you to bring your own food and drinks.  However, we do encourage you to try our excellent menu at the grill.  Judy uses only the finest ingredients and the kitchen is always kept in Grade A condition.  Check out the menu on our website.

4. Can I bring my dog, cat, or other pet to the drive-in?

Many people enjoy bringing a pet to the drive-in, primarily dogs. The following rules apply to our visitors who bring pets:

a. The pet must be kept in the vehicle or on a leash at all times.

b. Aggressive pets are not permitted.  We have many children who visit the drive-in and may become curious about your pet.

c. Visitors who bring pets must clean up after the pets.  We do not want our guests stepping in a mess left by a pet.

d. If you bring a pet, you are responsible for the pet's actions.

By following these rules we believe your pet and all our guests will enjoy a fun time at the drive-in.

5.  Do you still have the speakers for the cars?  How can I hear the movie?

We no longer use the car speakers.  The sound for the movies is broadcast in stereo on 88.1 FM.  Many people bring portable stereos (boom boxes) and enjoy laying out on the ground in front of the big screen.  We also have stereo speakers playing the sound for the customers on the deck.  We do ask that all sound systems on the premises be tuned to 88.1 FM for the enjoyment of all our guests.

You are certainly welcome to enjoy a beer at the drive-in while in your vehicle. If you are looking to enjoy a good movie and maybe have a beer with your dinner, we welcome you and hope you have a great time. If you are looking for a place to get drunk or just to drink, go somewhere else.

Public drunkenness and public display of the beverages will not be tolerated. Anything illegal in Eden or Rockingham County, North Carolina is not allowed at the drive-in and will be handled by the local authorities.

8. Can we arrive early so the kids can play on the playground?

Of course you can arrive early. In the summer the gates open at 7:00 PM and the movie usually does not start until 9:00 PM or 9:15 PM.  We encourage you to arrive early so you can find a good parking spot, the kids can play on our playground, and you can join in a round of horseshoes. (The horseshoes are free, you only need to let us hold your drivers' license as a deposit.) If you arrive before the gates officially open, we ask that you drop in the concession stand and pay admission as soon as we open.

9. What are your playground rules?

1. The playground is open to kids 12 and under only.  We have horseshoes for our teenagers to enjoy.  Parents must accompany their children on the playground.

2. The playground is closed during the movie.  We turn on the playground lights between movies so the kids can enjoy the playground during intermission.

3. Parents are responsible for their children's actions on the playground.

10. Do you offer rain checks for bad weather?

If inclement weather causes the projectionist to halt the movie before the end of the first feature, rain checks will be issued. Once the first feature is complete, we cannot offer rain checks because of our contracts with Hollywood.

11. Can we arrive during or after the first presentation? Can we leave at any time?

You may arrive or leave at any time. The admission is one price for all movies, no matter when you arrive or which movies you watch. If you arrive or leave while a feature is playing, please make sure you dim your lights (do not use your parking lights unless you know its safe) and drive SLOW. We do not want to disturb the other guests and we need to watch out for the kids!
